It’s weird seeing blue lights on a fire truck.
Technically I think it’s a squad truck, but still operated by the fire department.

Most emergency vehicles in Europe have blue lights.
This particular truck is/was used in Switzerland and I think it is just a oridnary squad truck.

That’s why it’s weird!
Here in North Carolina blue is for LEOs, (police, sheriff, highway patrol, Governor’s motorcade, SBI), while red is for fire and EMS.
Of course it’s different in every state, I know California uses a solid burn red light for police in addition to other colors.

At least here in Germany there is no difference, emergency vehicles, police cars and fire trucks all use blue lights. Imo they’re very visible when they appear in the mirror.
All I know that there’s quite a cult following American emergency vehicles in Germany. People pay good money for old police cars and equipment.

This is from my local Craigslist.
Now that I think about it one emergency light should do good, you have to heed the right of way to all of them anyway.

What would you use? I haven’t gone around checking but I think that blue is usual.

I would do blue for every emergency vehicle but by me fire and EMS have red lights. Police have blue
